Here i have done an exercise where i have edited to the beat of a track. from this i have learnt that in order to make an efficient music video, i must make sure the images match with the track we are editing to. storyboard
Here is our storyboard outlining the shoots we will try and take for our music video. it is a basic outline and will guide us when we decide to film for the video.
Animatic
Here is the animatic created through Final cut express. It is the basic outline of our story line, or the story line we intend to use.
Survey monkey
A member of my group had created a survey on survey monkey in order to get opinions from the audience on the type of work we should put into creating our music video. The results gained from this survey will be put up on a further date.
Vox Pops
Vox pops are used to get the voice of people across. it is usually shot in public, where the audience are then asked to give spontaneous responses to a certain topic. in this case we asked several student on their opinions about what they look for in a music video, in order to get an idea of how we set ours out.
The vox pop for our music video is shown above.

album cover
This is Tinie Tempah's album cover, as you can see it is very simple, with sharp and eye catching fonts and editing. For instance we see Tinie with his arms around a city, this shows his power, which reflects the power of the songs which may be in the album itself. the colours are also very eye catching, as there is a contrast of pink and blue, as well as silvery stars.
Ideas of how to broaden audience for music video
In order to make the music video reach its maximum potential, it is essential that it reaches a wider audience. In order to do this we have chosen a song which appeals to a wide category of people. It is a song thats likely to be charted and so appeals to whoever may listen to the radio regularly.
Also to appeal to pop fans, we will try and make the music video seem happy. Additionally to make it appeal to other genre fans we will try and add aspects of techniques that certain types of artists may use to appeal to their fans.

Target audience
For my music video i would say my target audience are teenagers, however to get the music to a wider range of people, i will try make it suitable for all ages.
It will be mostly suitable for teenagers however as Angel himself makes music suited for them. Also his music is charted so is suitable to whoever may listen to the radio stations regularly.
